Publishing Update

HI Folks!

You know this blog and its pages have been a very important receptical for my work over the past two or so years, since I set up the blog in fact, and its use is soon coming to a close.

You see I set it up to preserve intellectual property, not to impress.

I wanted my data out there and labelled as MINE or at least, as somebody elses to you know what – the University!

I have been in a mindless dispute with the “Establishment” of the University of Bath for some years now and as they dominate where I live now, they have alot of “pull” in the area.

This means the police.

This means I have had intrusion in my place of living and theft, yes theft, of my work until I have not known what was going to go next – so I put it ALL online for better or for worse, just to get it there and retain a copy in everyone’s computer who looks at it.

Now I have produced a first – a paper that goes three ways to hell across the board fron Biology to Mechaical Engineering without need to consult with a biologist nor another mechaical engineer – a biomimeticist is born.

Knowing both sides of the coin is rare – usually people concentrate on their own fields of expertise but I was forced at first and then I elected to go that way myself – to see what I could do with what I had (which was vry little).

I have three papers in the offing now – the first has already been produced as a springboard into the second and then, surprise surprise, the third relies on the rsults of the first two and so that should be assured a publication deal too.  That makes three without needing to lift another pen.  That makes a first too, in the Journal of Robotics and Biomimetics, of three papers by the same precise author in their Journal.  That makes me pretty experienced in writing papers and too it makes me assured of the reward of being the best expert in my field the world has seen so far!

That field? Attachment mechanisms.  Biological ones and there mechanical analogues.

How to attach a head to a neck, or how to join a leg to a stump or how to join a control system monitor to a nervous system.

If there are any new people in the field intersted in working with me on a project someday – well – here I am!

PUBLISHING NEWS: Papers 2 and 3

Two new pages have been added to the frontpage of my blog, namely the textfile of my published today second paper and the textfile of my resubmited an corrected Paper 3 which I have goood feelings about.

You’ll find them at the bottom of the list

Publication and up a spot on the chart

This has been like a movie folks so you must excuse me putting all this on a blog….you may wonder why?  There have been times when I thought I was going to be “disappeared” by the authorities….I couldn’t figure out why they were so heavy handed on me.

The purpose?  Among other things – to suppress my work and sheer bloody minded desire to destroy the career of an unpopular academic.  Me.

When I finally dumped all my results online about two years ago, on this blog, the number of hits went to 270+ per day.  Now I have finally squeaked in and answered a call for papers through LinkedIn of all places, and been published!

Nine years and some months later, after I deregistered from my PhD at the University of Bath in the controversy given the reception to my research results.

Number of downloads on paper 1 have passed 800 and it is now in the number 19 spot, up one from 20.

Pleased as punch.  Parts 2 and 3 have just been resubmitted so fingers crossed!!

Second Paper Accepted for Publication

Paper 2 has been accepted for publication by Springer-Open Journal of Robotics and Biomimetics!!  With some final corrections.

Please note it has changed substantially from the paper seen here – which is to be corrected at a future date.

Now the wait continues for a verdict on paper 3 which is bieng re-submitted at the end of the week..

Publication News Papers 1, 2 and 3

Hey Everybody!

My paper 1 is sitting 625 accesses.

My paper 2 has just been accepted with corrections!

My paper 3 will be accepted with some changes!

That’s my PhD!!

Publication News

Paper 1 has now had 600 accesses and it is a weird feeling – my first academic paper and soul author, one has to understand that each access represents an academic looking at the paper to see if they can learn anything from it.

It’s a little unnerving especially when it is moving up the list with the front-runner with most accessed over the last 30 days.  The more people who see it, the more who see its inadequacies which are right before my eyes.

Paper 1 Accesses top 550

Paper 1 accesses hit 558 today as it slipped one down the leaderboard to a worthy paper on a underwater propulsion system.  Currently at 225 reads over the last 30 days.

todays date:  20/9/15

publication date: 29/7/15

Paper One Results

If you have been following this story then you will follow this summation: I left Bath University in a state of Mental Ill health having completed ALL my research for my PhD. This was in 2006. I signed on the dotted line and revoked my Right to be examined and graduate from Bath University. So they say. Anyway this is all based upon a single signature, yes? Since then I have been put in hospital 7 yes 7 times and put all my work online on a Blog to preserve my interest and that of others.

Now my first paper has just been published, as per my Blog with corrections. If my next two get published then my bargaining postition which doesn’t really exist in their eyes, strengthens.

My first paper has just hit 430 accesses in just over a month and is a Biomimetic study of Burdock (Arctium minus), which is identified commonly with the bio-inspriation of Velcro the product.  I need more.
