2-tick employers and disabilities

Good Day – ever since I was disabled in an assault in 2002, I have been searching for work off and on.  In the meantime I have had to learn about being the Victim of an assault and afterwards, something called Trauma Induced Psychosis as a result of the head injuries sustained.

I have applied to Dyson a number of times and my disability is clearly stated on my CV, and many other firms including Rolls Royce, Thales, Honeywell, etc and yet, although I am qualified almost to a completed PhD level, I have yet to be offered an interview or even short listed.

The Law States that I should be offered an interview because I am disabled, if I have the qualifications.

I know what 2-ticks means now and I am surprised, with this Conservative governemt and austerity and cuts, that these engineering firms don’t take heed of the policy which comes from the DWP.

I wonder what I should do?  Don’t these companies want the two ticks of best practise?
