POLITICAL INFLUENCE AND TRADE UNIONISM AT BATH CAMPUS
This is for the record.
I was put in a position that was prepared for me from the outset of my PhD which had little to do with my choice and everything to do with the Department of Engineering’s plans for me.
The closure and the reasons for the closure of the Biomimetics Group remain shrouded in mystery to me – except I know now it was I who shot down Julian Vincent and that is who the Vice Chancellor has been defending him until now as has the rest of the Bath CLP and the UCU on campus, via Michael Carley of the Mech Eng Department and Branch Secretary and squash opponent to the then Head of Department, Tony Mileham.
The reason for the silence is so that the University staff have been able to continue with their campaign of harassment and no one knows it continues except the staff and Hazel Turner and Julian Vincent and Kevin Edge.
The choice was this although I did not know it at the time: don’t get involved in trade unionism and get a PhD or join the UCU and only get an MPhil and become a Research Officer.
Sally Clift’s assessment of me had little to do with the topic, it was political as was the presence of Liz Walker of the Student Money Service, also UCU (or AUT as it was then).
It has been Prof Edge vs Me.
Political discrimination, harassment, unlawful entry, assault and conspiracy, torture.
