PUBLISHING

I owe a huge debt to the publishers of the Journal:

The Journal of Biomimetics and Robotics, by Springer-Open,

who accepted my plea of financial destitution and waived the publishing fees on all three of my papers, on faith.  For this I shall be forever in their debt.  My time at University had driven me into severe debt resulting in a six year term of bankruptcy and I was destitute at the time.  Although they had only seen the first two papers in draft they accepted my submissions.  Of The third paper it had as a corner stone the discovery of a paper from Switzerland in a Materials Science Journal in which they described their work on a new rapid prototyping device and working with .tiff files.

I found this paper on Facebook two months before publication of my third paper, so there is a God.

All three papers have been peer reviewed prior to publication.  The first has had close to 3000 accesses in less than four years.  The others show equal signs of interest.

The truth is that I had had no idea of where to find a publisher and it was through a link from an old colleague named Nikolay that I was led to the Springer-Nature Journal.  This was in 2014, 9 years after de-registering at the University of Bath so I had been well and truly abandoned by the University despite my pleas for an audience, so it cannot complain.

The papers are unusual in their use of language but that I decided to keep as a reminder of my mental health condition and indicate the University’s failings to science.
